The final match of IPL was quite one sided till the end and it was Mumbai Indians that won the match in the end.
After Winning the toss, MS Dhoni decided to bowl first and that decision could not have been any worse. The start was what the they could hope for as Mumbai lost the first wicket in the very first over but after that it was total domination by the players of Mumbai. Simmons and Sharma both got their respective half centuries in very quick time. Simmons was the highest scorer of the day with 68 from 45 balls. Rohit got to his 50 in only 26 balls. After that Pollarad and Rayudu made quick runs and got to good total. pollard scored 36 from only 18 balls and Rayudu got to his 36 in 24 balls. All these scores helped Mumbai to get to their 202/5 in 20 overs. Bravo took 2 wickets by giving away 36 runs in his 4 overs.
After Coming to bat Chennai found it hard to score runs. By the time they lost their first wicket, they barely scored 22 runs but 4 overs were over. This is where the match ended from my point. They at least should have tried to harder at the target than this. Although Smith scored 57 on 48 balls but neither the way he batted gave any hope nor could he give hope for Chennai. Other than Smith only Mohit Sharma and Suresh Raina managed to get past 20 and in the end their innings ended with only 161 runs. McClenaghan took 3 wickets in his 4 overs by giving only 25 runs.
