Mahmudullah – another great century

Bangladesh isn’t that big of a name in the world cricket. Although they are young they have capabilities and some quality players on top of it. Shakib-Al-Hasan is the best all-rounder of the world and he is from Bangladesh.

However, the player who is the talk of the time from Bangladesh is a batsman. His name is Mahmudullah Riad. Last year was terrible for this middle-order batsman/ all-rounder. His form was terrible and some referred his connection to the captain is the reason he is in team. But, he never gave up and now he has not only shown the people of Bangladesh but also the world that he is capable.

in the history of qorld cup cricket, only 8 payers got back to back centuries. Mahmudullah just wrote his name in that history. Bangladesh was a team that did not have any century in the world cup even 2 matches ago but today they have 2 100+ score in the world cup and both came from the same player.

After a magnificent 103 in the last match which brought Bangladesh a historical 15 run win against England, Mahmudullah got his 2nd 100 and his career best 128 not out against New Zealand. The co-host of this world cup was thought to have the best bowling side of this world cup and he showed that there is nothing special about this bowling side.

He is the 2nd Bangladeshi to get 2 back to back 100’s and the only Bangladeshi player to get 2 hundred’s in the world cup. His magnificent form is continuing for a while and he is just getting better and better after every match. Bangladesh nearly beat New Zealand in this match thanks to that magnificent 100 and 4 wicket from Bangladeshi skipper Shakib.

He still has one chance to make that 2 back to back 100 into 3 back to back 100’s and touch world history. According to Bangladeshi skipper in this match Shakib, if Sangakara can make 4 back to back 100’s then Mahmudullah can do that as well. Only time will tell, how far this batsman will go from here but his current form can possess threat to any team of the world.
