Preview –

Everyone might say that the Age of Spain has come to an end. It might actually be truer than it looks. They were thrashed by other teams in the World Cups and were the first defending Champions who couldn’t even make it to 2nd round. After the world cup they ended up loosing to France but that was due to the fact that France really played well that day and they deserved the win. A loss to poor Slovakia made everyone point their fingers at Spain. But they are trying to prove that they are still that team which can do anything. They are coming to take on Champion Germany after hammering poor Luxembourg by 4-0. They will be looking to dominate this game and prove that it was not mere luck that they became world champions. In my eyes they are the favorites despite what anyone says. But if they are planning to win then they need to play their very best. If I had to say the percentage then I would say that Spain has 51% chance of winning this match.

Germany on the other hand is having quite hard times after winning the world cup. Some may say that they are trying to rest all the best players but a world champion having 1 win in 4 matches after the world cup is hardly any big performance. They lost the runners up Argentina just after the world cup, then they lost to Poland and barely managed a draw against Iran. This can hardly be thought about the performance of a world Champion. In this match they can not afford to loose as they are already at the point where everyone is wondering if they won the world cup by mere fluke. So they will come with everything to win this match and in my eyes the pressure will be on them. So I have kept them as the Underdogs. But the match up is going to very close and any of these teams may win this match.

Prediction –

Our prediction for this match is 1-0, With Spain emerging victorious.
